We recently had the pleasure of hosting Aaron and Mari, a couple whose shared love for storytelling through photography brought them to Sigurwana for three unforgettable nights. Their goal was simple yet profound—to capture the raw beauty of the Soutpansberg, its landscapes, and the life that thrives within it.
Aaron is a photographer and film producer whose work focuses on exposing the illegal wildlife trade across Africa, using his camera to raise awareness and inspire action. Mari, a television host and photographer from the Philippines, brings her own creative eye and deep appreciation for nature into every frame she captures.
During their stay, the two explored the reserve’s diverse habitats, from ancient rock formations to misty mountain views. Their images reveal the heart of Sigurwana—the textures, colours, and quiet moments that make this place so unique. Each photo reflects not only the beauty of the land but also the respect and admiration they felt for it.
We’re thrilled to share some of the stunning images Aaron and Mari have kindly shared with us.
